poet, artist, designer and advertising specialist. The baroque and surreal symbols of his poems combining tender nostalgia and social nerve always interact with the design of his poetry collections – the playfulness and thoroughness of which always surpasses the usual ideas of visual solutions for a poetry book. His collection of poetry Ja sisalikud vastasid (kolmes kirjas) (And The Lizards Replied (In Three Letters)) won the poetry award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment in 2003. Künnap has also devised and designed a number of board games and several of his advertising campaigns (for instance the one that targeted consumerism “The winner has the greatest amount of things when he dies”) have created lively discussions.
